Great Jammie. yes, V2 is actually the preferable style in my opinion. It's more minimalist and I like that. The title..the three characters make a great cover. i actually prefer it to the official release.
I already said this but thanks a lot for doing the cover. I know you do it as a hobby but none the less, I appreciate it
...and as a token of my appreciation I'll give you another request. lol
Feel free to do whatever cover style you wish. Do it at your own pleasure. Doesn't need to be like the official release. Invent away.
I'll post all the resources you'll need by tomorrow. Templates ,images, fonts...everything
Hope you guys had a happy thanksgiving or if you're not amrican a great thursday!
New WIP, will follow the Criterion's clean look. Need to make the front and back background matching so will need to extend the background off the movie poster provided by alienmem otherwise will turn out to be a 50 shades of grey cover lol
Quote: alienmem wrote in post #36You can easily extend the the front and background with the fill with content aware. Or a really big brushed clone stamp.
But there may me better methods and you're the expert. I think the cover only uses the gotham font family.
I tried getting a better front image from google but that was the best I could get
yeah it would be easy using the clone stamp and probably would take 10 mins but the poster is quite blocky so is better to re brush the whole cover and cut out the image of the 2 females on the front. Worth spending the extra time for a better quality cover.
Have found a retail low quality scan (UK) of the back cover and think the font is GothamRnd-Light. Had a few gotham fonts on my server but not the 1 needed so great job.
Quote: alienmem wrote in post #40Looks awesome. the fine print is pretty sraightwoward...it's exatcly what's on the criterion site. synopsis, special features, everything.
These criterions are much easier to make right? they exclusively use an image in the front and everywhere else it's just fine print and logos
The font is pretty cool. I read that some of these fonts use on the riterion covers are customized by the studio, so our attempts in finding the exact font would be futile....
certainly are much easier, as for the fonts I think most studios have 1 off fonts which they don't like to share lol. If you look at the titles on both the wips posted there is not much difference, I can't remember the exact font used but it was a standalone font in windows modified slightly.
